Pigment House
Inspired by Luis Barragan’s iconic Mexican architecture and local flora, this Victorian renovation makes a bold statement with over 95m2 of our decadent pink polished concrete inside and out.Project detail
Architects Unknown Works have transformed the Victorian interior into a light-filled and pink-tinted open plan space that flows seamlessly into the garden. The concrete walls and floors boast a dusty pink hue, providing a refreshing contrast to London’s often grey skies. The interior of the house was comprehensively renovated. The ground floor saw the most drastic transformation with the kitchen and living room merged into one large, open plan area.
Here, our installation matches a series of concrete steps and walls that transform a once sloping garden into an accessible, landscaped outdoor space.
The consistent use of colour allows functional features to become a magnificent architectural focal point and offers a masterclass in colour drenching.
It’s playful, timeless and effortlessly cohesive — an utterly unique family home in the heart of London.
