The clients were looking to create an industrial finish with their concrete flooring which covers around 80 m2 in an open plan kitchen/dining area. We provided a selection of samples for the clients to choose from, all utilising local materials. To try and avoid the floor feeling too grey, they opted for a white integral colour to be used in the concrete mix which provided a much lighter background colour than standard concrete.

We also created three large steps in a matching finish which lead down into the kitchen area. The steps were cast at the same time as the floor to ensure consistency. Everything was then left for one week before the diamond polishing commenced.
