Project detail

Throughout this old industrial building we installed 150m² between ground floor & lower ground floors during the refurbishment this building was transformed in to a stunning one bedroom apartment. 100mm of Lazenby‘s Cream Buff polished concrete flooring was expertly installed. The concrete mix used was C28/35 and meets BS 8500-2 standards and was laid over underfloor heating. The expansion joint plan was comprehensive because it involved many other flooring materials, multiple levels, electrical boxes and floor lights.

The 5m x 1m worktop was masterfully cast in-situ. The interior design involved multiple trades and was a very busy site. Care was taken to keep a clean and clear working area. Pouring was carefully managed to maintain good relationships with neighbours.

The cast in-situ concrete stair treads were installed by Lazenby master craftsmen. The treads were poured on site in to a pre-fabricated steel frame, each tread was troweled by hand to achieve a similar mottled variation to that which can be found in our floors.
