Project detail

The 3.5m long corner worktop was split into two pieces with the joint being concealed by the use of a colour matching mastic. One piece also featured a large cut out for the belfast style sink to be fitted.

To match the rustic aesthetic of the Somerset barn, the front edges of the concrete were ground back to expose the aggregate within. The surfaces were then sealed with an impregnating inhibitor to help the worktops keep pace with everyday life.

Homeowner George says “I still get many compliments on the worktops Lazenby did years ago and they still look as good as they did then.”
