Project detail

The seamless surface enhances the architectural geometry, reflecting natural light to soften transitions between living zones. Its subtle satin sheen and neutral tone bring calm to the interiors, complementing timber details and expansive glazing that open the home to its landscape.

Chosen for both beauty and performance, the polished concrete delivers exceptional thermal efficiency and durability — a material that feels as comfortable underfoot as it is enduring in form. The absence of visual clutter allows texture, tone, and proportion to take centre stage, reinforcing the home’s contemporary yet timeless appeal. At Oakley House, concrete is more than a finish — it’s the quiet thread that connects the architecture, the environment, and the people who live within it.

By installing the polished concrete throughout the entire ground floor area and ahead of the internal partition walls, it allowed for maximum efficiency on both time and costs. The ground floor area was installed in just one week, meaning that other trades could access the property immediately afterwards, causing minimal down time. When the building was nearing completion we returned to install the external patio as well as seal and polish the entire floor.
