Project detail

Designed by Colm Joseph, this residential extension and garden project carries Cool Grey polished concrete from inside the house straight out into the landscape, so indoors and outdoors read as one space.

Once the external polished concrete was down, we built formwork on site and poured the table and benches in situ, extending the same colour to the furniture itself. They aren’t placed in the garden so much as grown out of it.

Poured at 100mm and heavily reinforced, they’re built for years of weather and family meals.

Every top surface was trowelled by hand to match the patio, so nothing reads as an add-on. It’s one flowing material.

All of this was created and sealed in just 10 days.
