Lazenby’s White City Place project features 220m² of external Cool Grey cast insitu concrete panels, embedded in marble-white pebbles. PLUS over 100 pieces of pre-cast Fossil concrete for the stair treads and landings, both externally and internally. Lazenby’s Cool Grey cast insitu, external concrete panels were designed and installed to create outside rooms. The smaller panels were all cast at 1800 x 1200mm to create a stepping stone effect. A key feature in the external courtyard is Lazenby’s fabulous Cool Grey cast insitu concrete table. At 3m long, 800mm wide, 900mm high and 100mm thick this eye catching addition draws the eye of all new visitors. The table was built directly ontop of the concrete one it had been allowed to fully cure and set.
The external stairs feature Lazenby’s complimenatary pre cast colour, Fossil. The pre-cast treads each have a pair of stainless steel nosings cast into the concrete that sit 3mm proud. This, along with the textured finish to the concrete created a non slip finish that the architects had specified. The landings provide a stage from which to view this creative meeting space for staff and visitors alike. This attractive and appealing garden is at the heart of White City Place and it’s collection of extrarordinary buildings. Lazenby’s external work is enclosed within a courtyard that can be accessed by and seen from all levels.
