|Architect/Client:||Tasker Catchpole Construction|
|Location:||Near Chichester, West Sussex|
|Colour:||Iron Grey (internal) and Off White (external)|
|Project type:||New build|
The 350m2 polished concrete flooring features throughout the public areas, including the washrooms. Installed at a depth of 100mm, with a joint plan that takes into account the streamlined architectural design. The concrete mix used internally was C35 Concrete and was installed over 3 days. The 700m2 of external concrete was the same C35 Concrete mix this however was hand trowelled Lazenby Off White concrete which was installed after the pouring of the internal floor. This concrete was then acid etched to create a texture on the surface and achieve the desired slip resistance. When the concrete is installed it is especially important to protect external installations from the weather otherwise installation may not be possible.
