The Reception area, lift lobby and corridors at Abacus House feature 262m2 of Lazenby’s Natural Concrete flooring that has been diamond polished to expose the gravel aggregate within the concrete.
Rather than using the traditional saw cut joints the architects designed the space to be split into sections using a galvanized aluminium. This helped to accentuate the joints and turn them into a feature aspect of the floor.
Lazenby’s Natural Concrete flooring was specified for these high traffic areas because of concrete’s inherent hard wearing properties. The diamond polished floor is finished with an anti slip sealer that provides a safe environment and has the added benefit of being very low maintenance for the client.
