Jamie’s Italian restaurant interiors are arguably almost as legendary as his food. The brilliant, exceptionally strong, exposed aggregate of this diamond polished concrete floor was preferred to the equally hard-wearing polished concrete alternative. Although diamond polished concrete floors are not everyone’s cup of tea, they are extremely economical and unbeatably durable. Lazenby are trusted installers of diamond polished concrete floors and created this 186m2 interior floor. Interior photography by Jeremy Phillips.

Jamie’s Italian selected the local 10mm buff gravel aggregate with a Bronze (low matt) diamond polished finish. Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze diamond polishing options are available, to give high gloss to low reflective matt finishes. The natural concrete coloured base was used rather than a colouring. The choice of a diamond polished concrete floor was for practical and economic reasons. Easy to clean with water and the TwisterTM system and exceptionally hard-wearing.
