Lazenby’s Iron Grey polished concrete floor covers 55m2 of the open plan ground floor, in this refurbished London home. The 100mm deep floor was installed over underfloor heating to Lazenby’s usual exacting standards.
Lazenby’s installation was done after the glazed doors were in place so additional protection along the glazing run was essential. The kitchen units and island was fitted after the polished concrete floor was cured and the three-layer protection covering removed. Permissions from Lazenby are always required if Trades intend to cut or remove part or all of Lazenby’s covering system. Superior quality installations can only be achieved if Lazenby’s processes and advice is carefully followed.
Polished concrete was also installed in the ground floor shower room and this is always finished by hand to allow for a textured surface to aid with slip resistance. Concrete ages beautifully on its own and it is worth looking after.
