Lazenby’s Basalt polished concrete floor installed in 10 rooms, in this converted chicken shed, covering a total of 126m2. Attention to detail was the key to success and included 2 floor boxes and extensive finishing to edges due to all walls being in place.
Lazenby’s 126m2 of Basalt polished concrete floor was laid 100mm deep over underfloor heating. Two floor boxes were installed in the living room to exacting standards. The joint plan factored in all 10 optimally sized rooms ensured that clean architectural lines were maintained. A consistent colour was achieved throughout due to Lazenby craftsmanship and care. All existing walls and original architectural features were protected before installation.
This Lazenby project was originally installed in 2015 and is being featured in the March 2017 issue of Self Build & Design. Lazenby was specified by the architect for this captivating project so that a ‘sophisticated nod to the building’s humble origins’ was achieved.
